Jute Plant

Jute, known for its versatility and sustainability, is a cornerstone of our products. The jute plant, including both its fiber and hurd components, plays a crucial role in carbon sequestration during its growth phase.

With the ability to sequester an impressive 10 to 15 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per hectare during a brief 3–4-month growth cycle, jute cultivation stands as a beacon of environmental stewardship.

Moreover, jute cultivation typically requires fewer pesticides and fertilizers compared to other crops, further reducing the environmental impact of agriculture while contributing to soil conservation and improvement.

Natural Binder

Another sustainable material we utilize is a byproduct of the steel-making process. This natural binder serves as a substitute for traditional construction materials like concrete, significantly reducing carbon emissions while maintaining structural integrity and performance.

Local Sourcing for Sustainability

At Orera Technologies, we prioritize local sourcing to maximize sustainability and minimize environmental impact. All our sustainable materials are obtained within a 40-kilometer radius of our manufacturing plant. This strategic approach offers several benefits:

Reduced Carbon Emissions

Advantages of Orera Blocks

Orera blocks offer unparalleled sustainability along with exceptional durability, energy efficiency, and recyclability, making them ideal for sustainable building practices.

Durability and Longevity

Protected by finishes like plaster, Orera blocks resist environmental elements, ensuring long-term structural stability, thermal insulation, and fire resistance.

Energy Efficiency

With excellent thermal regulation, Orera blocks maintain consistent indoor temperatures, reducing the need for mechanical heating and cooling systems, thus lowering energy consumption and operational costs while supporting sustainability goals.

Recyclability and Disposal

Composed of a blend of natural binder and jute hurd, Orera blocks are not only structurally robust but also environmentally friendly. At the end of their lifecycle, they can be recycled or reused in different construction projects, promoting circular economy principles and minimizing environmental impact.

Tailored Solutions for Sustainable Construction

Variations of Orera Blocks

At Orera Technologies, we offer two variations of Orera blocks, each designed to meet specific structural and sustainability needs, setting a new standard for sustainable construction practices.

ORERA 400

Perfect for Inner Walls

Orera blocks, composed of a blend of natural binder and jute hurd
Strength and Safety

Strength and Safety

Orera 400 is engineered for use in inner walls, boasting a compressive strength of 400 PSI. Its fire-retardant properties provide an added layer of safety, crucial for protecting occupants in case of fire emergencies.

Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency

This variation of Orera blocks exhibits high thermal conductivity, facilitating efficient temperature regulation within the building. By reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling, Orera 400 contributes to cost savings and aligns with sustainable building practices by minimizing energy consumption.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Roughly 80% of the product consists of sustainable materials. Jute hurd, a natural byproduct of jute fiber processing, offers biodegradability and low environmental impact. Orera 400 promotes resource conservation and aligns with green building practices.

ORERA 700

Ideal for Outer Walls

Orera blocks, composed of a blend of natural binder and jute hurd
Strength and Stability

Strength and Stability

Orera 700 is specifically tailored for outer walls, offering a higher compressive strength of 700 PSI. This superior strength makes it ideal for bearing the load and providing structural integrity to the building's exterior.

Safety

Safety

Like Orera 400, Orera 700 is fire-retardant, ensuring enhanced safety measures for occupants and structural integrity in the event of fire emergencies.

Thermal Regulation

Thermal Regulation

While maintaining a medium thermal conductivity, Orera 700 strikes a balance between insulation and thermal regulation, crucial for maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the year.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Around 80% of the product consists of sustainable materials, contributing to its eco-friendliness and suitability for environmentally conscious construction projects.

Additional Safety Information

While Orera blocks are engineered with safety in mind, it's essential to take appropriate precautions during handling and construction. Workers involved in handling Orera blocks should wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety goggles, and respiratory protection, especially during cutting, drilling, or grinding processes to minimize exposure to dust and potential irritants.

Additionally, while Orera blocks are fire-retardant, precautions should still be taken to prevent fire hazards during construction and occupancy. It's crucial to follow local building codes and regulations for fire safety, including proper installation of fire-rated assemblies, maintaining clear fire exits, and implementing fire prevention measures.
